What is a Regional Communication Service?

Regional Communication Services are part of the statewide ‘Speech Therapy Initiative’ for people with complex communication needs. There are 11 Regional Communication Services located across Victoria . The services support individuals to communicate effectively and participate in their own communities.

Short term Individual speech pathology for adults with complex communication needs

Do you know someone with a complex communication need?

People with complex communication needs cannot speak or have speech that is hard to understand
Some people need help to understand what other people say or do
Some people may need help to understand and read written material

Who is eligible?

Anyone who is interested in learning more about complex communication needs.

For example:

Family and friends
Shops, services and local businesses
Recreation and leisure groups
Any person who supports people with complex communication needs
Community services
Adults with complex communication needs
