About cerebral palsy

Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week 2007 is a national awareness week to celebrate the achievements of people with cerebral palsy (CP).

The theme for this year is See the Person, Not the Disability.

Raising awareness of issues facing people with cerebral palsy will increase opportunities for people with disabilities to more fully participate in their community.

Events

    Tim James Tim James will be performing at Centro in Box Hill on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th August from 12 - 2pm. Tim is using his music to raise money for Cerebral Palsy organisations across the nation, including Scope. 20 percent of sales from his album ‘Another World’ go towards improving the lives of people with CP. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy Tim's music while supporting CP week. Diana Heggie will be welcoming Tim on Tuesday at 12pm at Centro.

    Irene Kwong Irene Kwong will be interviewed on Friday 17 August at 10.40 by Phil Kafcaloudes on Radio Australia's Breakfast Club. The interview will provide Irene with the opportunity to speak about the cultural aspects of disability in Australia and China.


    Diana Heggie, Scope CEODiana Heggie, Scope CEO can be heard on Sport 927 this Sunday 5th August to launch CP Week. She will be interviewed by Father Gerard Dowling.
