kaleidoscope

The name of Scope's inaugural art exhibition, which is set to unearth some of our clients' most talented works, has been announced.

The name kaleidoscope, submitted by Karen Hofer of North West Region's Specialist Services and Jenny Argaet of Scope Employment Futures in Mt Waverley, scored the most votes from the committee and with its colourful logo will be used to promote the event.

The word kaleidoscope was derived by Brewster from the Greek kalos, eidos, and skopos; meaning beautiful, form and view, respectively.

kaleidoscope 09, which has been tipped to be one of Scope's biggest events in 2009, will showcase the inspiring, thought-provoking and clever works by talented artists with disabilities.

The exhibition also aims to put the spotlight on the creative achievements of our clients by providing the opportunity to display their accomplishments in a professional arena.

kaleidoscope 09 is open to all people with disabilities who access Scope services.

The exhibition will be held on 4 - 21 November, 2009 at Manningham Gallery, Manningham City Council, 699 Doncaster Road , Doncaster .

For further information about this exciting event or to submit works for the exhibition please call Rhonda Joseph on: 9843 2069 or email rjoseph@scopevic.org.au.
