Scope Research Plan 2008-2010
Scope has a detailed Research Plan for the period 2008 - 2010. This plan was developed in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders: clients, staff, Scope's research community and our philanthropic and academic partners.
The plan provides a clear path for our research over the next 3 years.
The overarching research direction is "a better life for people with disabilities".
We do not focus on cure and prevention, but on research that supports people to have a better life today.
There are five outcome areas for Scope's research. These are:
- Being Heard
- Shaping Policy
- Improving Practice
- A Better Life
- New Horizons
For the next 3 years Scope will undertake research that focuses on the following areas:
- Achieving greater social inclusion for people with disabilities
- Services that deliver real outcomes for each person
- Finding new ways to support people with disabilities to have a better life
