One of the things holding back people with disabilities is the attitude of others.

By getting to know a lot more about physical and multiple disabilities you can help overcome myths and misinformation.

It is important to remember that people with disabilities have the same aspirations as people everywhere. We all want :

  • To achieve our greatest potential
  • To be independent
  • To gain a sense of personal worth
  • To be treated with respect, as equals
  • To be productive and contributing members of the community
  • To have opportunity for friendship and social life
  • To participate in a wide range of interesting activities


The knowledge and understanding that you acquire can make a big difference to the quality of life experienced by those people with physical and multiple disabilities.
