Ethics application
All research needs to be approved by Scope's HREC. Scope accepts both the National Ethics Application Form (NEAF) and the Common Application Form (CAF) used by the Victorian Department of Human Services (DHS). The application documents explain the process to follow.
Researchers please note you must register with NEAF online to have access to the NEAF document. The Common Application form can be accessed from the DHS website.
Reporting back to the Scope Human Ethics Research Committee
Once an ethics application is approved researchers are required to report back to the HREC. If they want to make changes to the research they must request approval by the HREC. All reports and requests must have a Cover Sheet.

The Victorian Cerebral Palsy Register
The Victorian Cerebral Palsy Register collects basic information about all people with cerebral palsy born in Victoria since 1970. It is an initiative of the Department of Child Development and Rehabilitation at The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.
The purpose of the Victorian Cerebral Palsy Register is to generate new information about the causes and prevalence of cerebral palsy in Victoria. The database also forms a source of names for many of the other projects within the Department.
