Scope Public Policy Submissions
Scope's Research team works on behalf of the organisation to address key public policy issues, particularly through discussion papers and responding to Government consultation processes.
Submissions are developed to address the complexities and challenges faced by people with a disability, their families and the service organisations that support them. Below are some published papers.

Our submission raises significant issues and endeavours to provide realistic recommendations to address these issues.

Visitable & Adaptable Features in Housing - Regulatory Impact (2010)
Changes to the Building Code of Australia are proposed which will require private homes to include a limited number of features to improve access for people with disabilities. Scope supports the alteration to the Building Code in Victoria and recommends that all proposed items for improving access to private homes be adopted as soon as is practical.

National Mental Health and Disability Employment Strategy (2008)
The Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations undertook a national consultation on this critical issue. Blueprint for Early Childhood Development and School Reform (2008)
The Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development commenced a major consultation to support the development of a blue print to shape how Victoria's young people are supported from birth through to adulthood. Disability Supported Accommodation Program (2007)
