Designing sensory-focused stories

Sensory focused stories are ideal for people who have difficulty reading and understanding spoken language. The sensory elements of the story are individualised to match the person’s sensory preferences. Good design ensures the story is accessible and meaningful to the person. The story can also become the focus of a shared experience.

This workshop will provide information, strategies and resources for:

  • Designing sensory focused books
  • Designing sensory focused drama /storytelling
  • Designing sensory focused life experiences
