How can you help people with disabilities?

You can help by remembering Scope in your Will. Making a Will is an important part of planning for the future and ensure that your wishes are carried out. Leaving a gift to Scope in your Will, no matter how large or small, contributes significantly to our ongoing work. Your gift enables us to support people with a disability to live the lives they choose to live. A gift in your Will is a tangible and lasting gift and very special way of securing the future work of Scope.

Wording your gift to Scope

Scope recommends having your Will prepared by a qualified solicitor or trustee organisation. This ensures that your Will is written correctly and reflects your wishes.

For your convenience, we suggest using the following wording for your gift.

“After payment of all my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all duties, taxes and charges payable on my Estate at my death, I give to Scope (Vic) Ltd:
(insert amount) % of my Estate for the general purposes of Scope (Vic) Ltd;
OR
the residue of my Estate for the general purposes of Scope (Vic) Ltd;
OR
the sum of $(insert amount) for the general purposes of Scope (Vic) Ltd;
I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or proper officer of Scope (Vic) Ltd will be sufficient discharge for my Trustees.”

Scope is pleased to have the support of solicitors throughout Victoria who have kindly have agreed to make or update a standard Will for a reduced fee of $75 per person.
