  • Famous people with a mental illness (PDF 28 KB) - One of the best things that has happened in the last few years is that more and more well-known people are talking about their mental illness – sports people, models, actors, musicians. • Find a story about difficult times (PDF 26 KB) - We can all think of stories that we have read in newspapers and magazines or seen on TV about people who have had terrible things happen to them, but who have risen above these and have a positive outlook on life. Look in a newspaper, magazine or on the internet and find a story about someone who has risen above hard times.
  • Make your own Communication Board (PDF 27 KB) - Make a Communication Board. You can draw pictures or use pictures from magazines, clip art etc.
  • Positive Self-Talk (PDF 30 KB) - Change your negative thoughts into something more positive.
