New equipment for Highpoint Industries
Scope Business Enterprises has been experiencing strong growth over the past year and has received an extra boost thanks to a Fairfield businessman.Scope is in constant need of new and upgraded equipment to meet the demands of its customers, as well as providing its production team, consisting of employees with a disability, with opportunities to upskill using the latest packaging technology.
“Having heard that Scope operated contract packing services, David Chen contacted Scope’s website to see if some demonstration equipment could be put to use. The machinery was assessed to be in excellent condition and integrated into the day-to-day service delivery in the businesses within a short space of time” Julie McKay, General Manager Scope Business Enterprises said.
David Chen runs Market Investments Pty Ltd, specialising in importing material handling equipment such as trolleys and pallet jacks. David had a number of demonstration models which he generously donated to Scope Business Enterprises that will assist our businesses to better meet market demands and enable future growth and opportunities for employment for people with a disability.
“The result was that each of the Business Enterprise sites in South East Industries (Clayton), Knox Combined Industries (Wantirna), Highpoint Industries (Maribyrnong) and Shannon Park Industries (Geelong) received upgraded handling equipment consisting of pallet trucks, scissor lift tables and platform lifts. In total David kindly donated 10 pieces of equipment to Scope, a fantastic gesture that has greatly enhanced our production efficiencies” Ms McKay said.
