International Day of People with Disability

Scope, a leading disability service provider in Victoria is encouraging the community to See the Person and Not the Disability as International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) takes place on Saturday 3rd December.
IDPwD is a United Nations sanctioned event that is celebrated worldwide each year on the 3rd December. The day aims to promote an understanding of people with a disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.
As the day draws near Scope is encouraging the community to look beyond the disability and see what individuals living with a disability are really capable of.
“Like all Australians, people with a disability have talents, passions, abilities and dreams. Scope is encouraging the community to See the Person, Not the Disability,” Kylie Payne, Scope’s General Manager Marketing Communications & Fundraising said.
