This Christmas help a child take their first steps
19 children have a special Christmas wish this year, to take their first steps.
This Christmas Scope needs to raise $228,000 to supply and fit 19 children with a Hart Walker through Scope’s GoKids program.
The Hart Walker, an orthotic walking frame encourages children living with a disability to walk independently.
They cost $12,000 each which covers the Hart Walker purchase and the fitting together with the therapy and refitting as the child grows older.
“Through the communities support this Christmas, Scope has raised $120,000 towards providing Hart Walkers for children. Scope however still needs another $108,000 to allow a further 9 children to take their first steps. The support of the community will allow us to make some very special wishes come true this Christmas," said Diana Heggie, Scope's CEO.
