Rossdale Golf Club Charity Day
Attention all hackers and Tiger Woods wannabees! Scope and the Rossdale Golf Club have formed a partnership to host a Charity Golf Day on Monday, 12 April 2010.
All proceeds of the day will go towards assisting Scope clients to pay the gap between the DHS Aids and Equipment Program subsidies and the actual cost of equipment – an amount that can reach $9000.
The event will include:
- Putting competition
- Barbecue dinner
- Raffles
- Charity auction
- Door prizes
- Giveaways
Rossdale Golf Club is one of Melbourne’s golfing gems. The magnificent par 72 and 5876 metre layout will challenge golfers of all skill levels with its tree lined fairways, numerous water hazards and small will bunkered greens.
The course is a fairly flat style course with numerous soft undulating mounds to create the perfect playing surface with well-grassed fairways. The golf shop is well appointed with professional staff and supplies, an abundance of golf apparel in the way of clubs, shoes, garments, practice balls, motorised carts and pull buggies. It also has a superb selection of hire clubs available for visitors.

The DHS Aids and Equipment Program (A&EP) provides subsidised aids, equipment and home modifications to eligible people needing assistance to live safely and independently in their own home.
The primary aim is to safely support people with a long-term disability, their families and carers to reduce reliance on carers and prevent premature admission into institutional care or high cost services.
