See the Person week banner

More than 200 schools around Victoria participated!

Every school in Victoria was invited to participate in ‘See the Person’ Week – an awareness week encouraging students and the wider community to see the person, not the disability.

A great ambassador and toolkit for a good cause

A very exciting part of ‘See the Person’ Week was ambassador Rudely Interrupted – an Australian independent rock group with five of the six band members living with physical and intellectual disabilities.

Schools that chose to participate received a tool kit including a DVD with an introduction to Scope and Rudely Interrupted as well as suggestions and activities on how to promote the campaign. They also received wrist bands for students to purchase for $2. All proceeds supported Victorians with a disability so they can reach their full potential.
