Leisure Action, a service of Scope, works closely with people with
disabilities, local government, community recreation and sporting providers, and other specialist services
to enhance participation in community life.
Leisure Action is a statewide service working across the metropolitan and regional areas of
Victoria.
Leisure Action aims to :
- Provide information, advice, training and support to community recreation, plus cultural and
sporting organisations, to assist with the development of planning appropriate policies, programs and
services to support the inclusion of people with disabilities.
- Increase the range and diversity of accessible community leisure opportunities in areas such as the
community arts, health and fitness, outdoor recreation, personal development, sports and social
options.
- Provide information and support to people with disabilities to develop connections with other people,
resources and opportunities in the community to meet their leisure needs.
