Scope has several vacancies for permanent part-time Disability Support Workers across the following areas:
- North-Western suburbs: Footscray, Moonee Ponds, Maidstone, Sunshine;
- Northern suburbs: Pascoe Vale, Coburg, Bundoora, Glenroy;
- Western suburbs: St Albans, Keilor Downs;
- Southern suburbs: Carnegie, McKinnon; Moorabbin; Ormond; Glenhuntly, Noble Park and Bentleigh;
- South-Eastern suburbs: East Malvern and Clayton;
- Eastern suburbs: Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash and Whitehorse; Outer Southern suburbs: Chelsea Parkdale Hampton and Edithvale
Flexibility in working hours is essential as the roles involve shift work including mornings, afternoons, weekends and sleepovers.
Previous experience and training is preferred, however is not mandatory. We can offer you staff development and ongoing training in a supportive working environment with excellent hourly rates.
The role entails assisting clients in their residential houses and at day centres. Duties include; supporting clients to live as independently as possible, community access activities, developing partnerships with communities, providing a positive role model for people with a disability, personal care work and support with domestic / household tasks.
Successful applicants will be required to have a current Level One First Aid Certificate and hold a satisfactory Police Check issued within the last 12 months for Disabled care.
