Records Management Assistant

Location: Box Hill
Hours: Part Time (3 days per week), Contract Position – 6 Months

Scope is seeking a Records Management Assistant join us for 6 months on a part time basis to assist with the maintenance of our records keeping system. Duties include:

  • Assisting in maintaining data bases for Records Management;
  • Assisting in record keeping, transfer, storage, retrieval and destruction of Scope Records;
  • Providing information to Scope staff from Central Records;
  • Attending to file requests from Scope staff;
  • Producing / maintaining statistical reports on records management work;
  • Maintaining registers at Records Management Section.

Applicants who have either completed or who are currently completing a Certificate or Diploma course in Records Management will be highly regarded.

You will have some experience with records management processes and data entry and experience in records management databases is preferred.

If you have a s ound understanding of records management and archival principles and practices, a high level of verbal and written communication skills, organisational, time management, and prioritising skills, attention to detail along with a demonstrated ability to interact with discretion and confidentiality then we would like to hear from you.

The appointment is subject to a current satisfactory Police Check for Disability care. Applicants must possess a current Victorian Driver’s licence and to be considered for the role you must have the physical capability to perform the required duties (some heavy lifting will be required).
