A Family Worker is required for 30 hours per fortnight at Scope working within the Early Childhood sector. Days and hours of work are flexible. You will be familiar with family centred practice and community capacity building.
You will be required to:
Provide strategies to families around dealing with children with complex needs and behaviours
- Provide general parenting strategies around supporting children with complex needs and behaviours
- Assist parents with grief counselling
- Assist parents/carers with their child’s transition phases eg to preschool, kinder, school
- Work as part of a team and provide support to other team members
- Contribute to the development of a range of service delivery models that would best meet client needs and provide choice
- Develop links with regional networks and services that will facilitate community inclusion and develop capacity
