Scope 2005- 2008 Strategic Plan - Summary
Our Mission
Scope’s Mission is to support people with disabilities to achieve their potential in welcoming and inclusive communities.
We believe that disability means possibility.
Who We Work With
Scope works with people with a wide range of disabilities. However, it has an historical connection with people with physical and multiple disabilities,
particularly people with cerebral palsy. While continuing to work with the diverse range of people with disabilities, Scope has a strong commitment to
maintaining specialised knowledge and skills regarding people with physical and multiple disabilities.
Scope works with people of all ages. When working with children Scope understands the need to work with their families.
Scope also works in partnership with communities, particularly on the task of creating welcoming and inclusive communities.
Overview of the Scope 2005 –2008 Strategic Plan
Scope has five strategic priorities for the period 2005 - 2008.
Strategic Priority 1 To provide person centred and family centred support
Strategic Priority 2 To work with others to create welcoming and inclusive communities
Strategic Priority 3 To improve organisational effectiveness and efficiency
Strategic Priority 4 To increase Scope’s influence
Strategic Priority 5 To increase Scope’s financial independence
These priorities have been distilled from discussions with the people who are Scope: the people who use its services, staff, members and the Board. A
remarkable consensus emerged during the strategic planning process; a consensus summarised in this strategic plan. People are committed to achieving
the outcomes identified in the plan, so that Scope can achieve its Mission.
